This logistics centre in the heart of Aalsmeer will comprise a total building floor space of approximately 250,000 m². With 80,000 m² of logistics space and 170,000 m² housing other functions such as a hotel, light industry, offices, retail and a wide range of other facilities, the campus will be the new place to work, do business, learn, stay overnight and relax. The new 500-room hotel, designed in the style of the former greenhouses in the area, will be the landmark of the logistics area/industrial estate.

The plans for the project were unanimously approved by the Aalsmeer municipal council on 29 September 2022. The development of the entire site is expected to take 5 to 7 years. On 28 October 2022, Green Square Logistics I was completed as the first sub-project of the development. Necron Group AG is financing and developing the high-quality Green Square Logistics II-III project.

The city of Aalsmeer is located in the center of the Amsterdam metropolitan area, a stone’s throw from Schiphol Airport. It is the world’s largest trade and knowledge center for floriculture and home to the world’s largest flower auction, Royal FloraHolland, with a daily trade volume of more than 20 million flowers and plants from the Netherlands and 50 other countries.

Extensive attention to sustainable construction means an eye for reducing the ecological footprint within this project. It also makes a generous column spacing possible of 22.8 m and a free height of 12.2 m. The logistics building with a length of 96 meters, width of up to 137 meters and a height up to 14 meters offers 12 loading- and unloading areas and a floor load of 5 t/m². The building is therefore extremely flexible in use possibilities.

The attractive location between Rotterdam and Antwerp on the A29, about 20 minutes from the port of Rotterdam, makes Hoeksche Waard an important hub for last-mile distribution to the Rotterdam metropolitan area and the entire South Holland province, the most densely populated and highly industrialized area in the Netherlands.

Dordrecht Logistics Hub has been a hub for the transport and trade of goods since the 12th century due to its location at the “3-river point”, where the Beneden Merwede arm of the Rhine splits into the Noord, the Oude Maas and the Dordtsche Kil. Today, Dordrecht and the surrounding areas of Rotterdam and the Randstad are home to Europe’s largest logistics, smart industry, and maritime network.

Its location approximately 20 km southeast of Rotterdam, directly on the A16 with connections to the N3 and A15, makes the Dordrecht Logistics Center an excellent hub for deliveries to the Randstad and West Brabant regions. A population of 1.3 million can be reached within 30 minutes, while the proximity to Dordtse Zeehaven, the Alblasserdam terminal and the ports of Rotterdam, Moerdijk and Antwerp provide convenient access to major global trade routes.
