Necron Group delivers headquarters for Bausch + Lomb and JAS Forwarding

Future-proof building

With the completion of Green Square Logistics II / III in Aalsmeer, Necron Group realizes the new future-proof headquarters for Bausch + Lomb and JAS Forwarding.

Twelve months after the first pile was driven, project owner and developer Necron Group handed over the keys of the new EMEA headquarters of Bausch + Lomb and JAS Worldwide – Netherlands to the tenants.

The project, purchased by Necron Group from Dutch City Development (DCD) during Provada 2023, was delivered turnkey by DCD as the risk-bearing developer during a festive gathering with the tenants.

The new 57,000 m2 company premises with photovoltaic solar panels will have a 35,000 m2 refrigerated warehouse, mezzanines, intermediate floors, offices and 70 loading docks. Necron is committed to using sustainable technology to make the large cold-storage centre as energy efficient as possible. In fact, high-quality bio-based materials are one of the components that helped make this a  building.

The logistics business building, which will receive the BREEAM Excellent sustainability certificate, comprises approximately 40,000 m² gross floor area, including 5,000 m² of office space, a warehouse of approximately 26,500 m², and a mezzanine of over 7,000 m². Additionally, 272 parking spaces, 28 charging stations, and 40 loading docks have been realized.

Aan de Stegge Twello completed the iconic building and the landscaping in close cooperation with the Municipality of Aalsmeer and Green Park Aalsmeer Area Development. Project management was overseen by consultancy and project management firm Drees and Sommer Netherlands.

Gerard van Liempt, CEO Necron Group: “Aan de Stegge Twello has worked hard over the past year to deliver this beautiful building on time, and I am incredibly proud that we have been able to achieve this together with all our partners. My special thanks go to Robèrt Verheijden, who oversaw the development and construction with Dutch City Development, contributing to today’s celebration with the tenants of a successful handover.”

Robèrt Verheijden, CEO of Dutch City Development: “We thank Necron Group for the once again pleasant collaboration and warmly welcome tenants Bausch + Lomb and JAS to GSBC, wishing them successful business operations.”

Green Square Logistics II/III is part of the larger GSBC in Green Park Aalsmeer. The ambition has long been to develop GSBC into a high-quality center area. Area developer Necron Group works closely with Green Park Aalsmeer Area Development (GPAG) to expand the 17-hectare (!) area into the new place to work, do business, learn, stay overnight, and recreate.

In addition to the development and realization of various business premises, construction will soon begin on a dual-branded Hilton hotel with 284 rooms, including facilities such as a bar-restaurant, meeting rooms, and a fitness center.
