Necron Group acquires 32,000 m² distribution center from Appel Realty in Almere

International e-commerce company Mascot Online is now making full use of its long-term leased distribution center

Necron Group, as the end investor, has acquired the Almere Stichtsekant I DC distribution center, developed and built by Appel Realty, at Business Park Stichtsekant in Almere. The building, with a floor area of approximately 32,000 m², has been let for an initial period of ten years to Mascot Online, an internationally active e-commerce and fulfillment company which has now taken full occupancy of the premises. The purchase agreement was concluded in mid-2025. Handover to Mascot Online took place on 15 July 2026, after which the project was transferred to Necron Group.
The distribution center features 25 loading docks, a mezzanine and a clear height of 12.2 meters. It offers Mascot Online the capacity and flexibility to further expand its international e-commerce and fulfillment operations.

Expansion of European logistics portfolio
With the acquisition of Almere Stichtsekant I DC, Necron Group is adding a fully let and operational distribution center to its European logistics property portfolio. Necron Group is also involved in projects including Dutch Fresh Port in Ridderkerk, Rotterdam Food Hub in the Port of Rotterdam and in Laar, Germany.

Gerard van Liempt, CEO of Necron Group: “Our ambition is to invest in property at strategic locations across Europe and to develop projects that create long-term value. Almere Stichtsekant I DC demonstrates how we are putting that ambition into practice. With this acquisition, we are adding a fully operational distribution center to our portfolio, with a strong international tenant and a long-term lease. In doing so, we are continuing to build our position as a pan-European property investor and developer in a targeted manner.”

Strategic location for international distribution
Almere Stichtsekant I DC is situated in the Stichtsekant Business Park, directly on the A27 and with good links to the A6 and A1. This location provides Mascot Online with access to the Randstad and key logistics links.

Mascot Online combines the sale of its own consumer brands with fulfillment and dropshipping services for business partners. The company serves both business and private customers in various European markets. The distribution center in Almere supports these activities.

Collaboration on development and construction
Appel Realty initiated, developed and constructed Almere Stichtsekant I DC. Hercuton was responsible for the design and construction of the distribution center.

Pim Appel, founder of Appel Realty: “Right from the initial planning stage, the focus was on a distribution center that not only supports Mascot Online’s current logistics operations but also provides scope for further growth. In doing so, we paid close attention to an efficient layout, flexibility and the quality of the building. Sustainability is of great importance to us and our tenants. We are therefore proud to have been able to deliver a building to Mascot Online with a BREEAM Excellent certificate.”

In the transaction, HMK Notarissen acted as the notary and legal adviser to the seller, and Stibbe as legal adviser to the buyer. 1530 Real Estate acted as the selling agent on behalf of Appel Realty. Joulz is involved as a partner in the distribution center’s off-grid energy solution.
